Why we exist

The Beecot story

Beecot is the brainchild of construction and asset management professionals. Who back in the 2010s watched technical specialists walk around buildings on a variety of maintenance of inspection tasks.

They wondered ''what if we can give them a tool that allows them to simply walk through a building, point anywhere and see exactly what is behind a wall or a ceiling? Or, more precisely, to see exactly what's supposed to be there?

Since no such tool existed, they decided to develop one themselves, by combining two emerging technologies: building information models and Augmented Reality.

They pioneered in an industry first: an app that can ''look through walls and ceilings'', by projecting digital data onto real-time camera imgaes. And realized that this innovation could help revolutionize asset management, by solving a persistent challenge: unreliable data.

We do this by connecting and organizing building information models and other data, and by creating user-friendly tools for accessing, visualizing and if necessary editing data on site.

We do all of this without elaborate and expensive implementation or migration projects. We simply connect existing systems and data sources, and enhance their quality and usefulness. Paving the way for streamlined operations, faster decision-making, and stress-free maintenance.

Launch Beecot AI

2024

Beecot launches an AI based data enrichment tool. Take a picture to determine the floor finishing of a space or identify a specific asset. Combined with the Validation tool of Beecot, this provides professionals with a very powerful tool to enrich their asset and facility management data set.

Intergration Autodesk Construction Cloud, Catenda and BIMcollab

Beecot launches integrations to partners Autodesk Construction Cloud, Catenda and BIMcollab to connect their services to enable seamless collaboration and data flow.

Launch Beecot Validation

2022

Based on the feedback of clients, Beecot developed and launched a validation tool. Beecot Validate guides the user trough the building, checking a custom defined set of checks to validate and enrich their model and asset data. It keeps track of progress, making it a very efficient tool to validate whole buildings.

POC Erasmus Medical Centrum Rotterdam

2020

Beecot's first client was Erasmus Medical Centrum in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. They wanted to validate the BIM model that was delivered to them after a renovation project. The validation showed the model was not 'as built', which was the start point to get their data and assets up to date.
